Babies and Kittens

Finished the baby sweater and whipped out a bib (although it doesn't match the sweater....) last week, but it took me a few days to find my camera. Note to self: Must get organized.

Guess I should have knit a little bitty hat for the poor thing....head's a bit misshapen. Sure hope the soon-to-be-born little miss doesn't take after my sweater model....

Knitting baby stuff is hilarious! Got a sleeve done, held it up, gushed, "Oh, isn't this just the sweetest thing.......Got the second sleeve done, ditto. Got the seams sewed up, more gushing. The Wordy One got a bit sick of replying, "Yes, it's adorable. Yes, it's the cutest thing." I have one more to finish, then it's on to bigger projects. Hope the Wordy One can keep up the enthusiasm for just a bit longer.....

Ethel and Purl survived their surgery, but they laid the guilt trip thing on me for about 3 days afterwards. Pathetic little meows, wobbly legs, failed attempts to jump onto their favorite chairs. Oh, they were gooooood.

I received a 3 day supply of pain medication that I was supposed to squirt into the mouth daily starting the morning after they came home. Well, bright and early the next morning, I shot the medicine into Purl's mouth. She immediately jumped up, gagged, foamed at the mouth, and puked. Then she ran and hid. OoooKaaayy. I'll try Ethel. With trepidation. Squirted it into her mouth. She jumped up, shook herself, foamed at the mouth, drooled the entire length of the dining room, but didn't hurl. I don't think any of the medication made it to her blood stream though.

Since neither acted like she was in pain (and believe me, this guilt ridden feline owner watched them carefully for signs of discomfort), we didn't attempt a repeat of Friday morning's performance. The dog was disappointed....

Today the terrible twosome started galloping around the house in pre-surgery fashion. They still sleep a bit more than before, but I think they'll be back to Cats-from-Hell mode in no time.

The dog is disappointed.

Til later,

Keep Cool.

Aww! Sooo cute! Nothing like tiny little clothes to get another bout of baby fever raging. LOL

I'm glad the kitties came through alright. It has been a while, are they fully recovered?
